Wink Ink Permanent Makeup, a San Diego based permanent cosmetics company needed a fresh, unique logo, and a stylish branding package and website to go with it.

Logo Design

Looking for a sassy, youthful identity that doesn’t alienate any particular age group, we opted for a clean, classic layout with pops of a passionate red.

The custom-painted poppy flower suggests a classic red-lipped pout, while still maintaining an individual and easily recognized brand icon. The custom lettering emotes a flirty, feminine vibe, and unifies a truly unique identity.

Dorit Schwartz, a local well-respected sculptor, creates one-of-a-kind modern artwork from pieces of reclaimed wood, stone and other natural elements. Her pieces are displayed in public and private collections around the world, and are available for purchase at the Home Store inside the Wynn Esplanade.

The Challenge

Dorit needed to update her website to reflect the beauty and quality of her inspired collection of artwork, without the cost of a fully-custom design.

The Solution

We searched through hundreds of pre-made WordPress themes to find one that most closely matched her vision for her website, needing only a few minor hacks.

After installation of the theme on a brand new WordPress installation, I adjusted all theme settings and applied some minor changes to the theme code to achieve the desired result.

With a stunning gallery, portfolio, and press archive, Dorit’s website now reflects the beauty and professionalism of her work, and helps drive artwork sales to individual collectors.
